J. Parker Mason

Parker Mason’s practice emphasizes real estate and secured lending law. He has extensive commercial experience in retail, office and industrial acquisition, development and leasing, and regularly represents both borrowers and lenders in real estate secured financing transactions. Mr. Mason also assists clients in corporate, partnership and general commercial matters.

Mr. Mason was an associate with the law firm of Parker, Poe, Adams & Bernstein in Charlotte, N.C. from 1987 to 1990 and an associate with the Seattle firm of Graham & Dunn from November 1990 through July 1994, when he joined Alston, Courtnage & Bassetti LLP. He was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 1987 and to the Washington State Bar in 1991. Mr. Mason received his A.B., magna cum laude with Distinction in History, from Duke University in 1983. Parker received his law degree from Duke University School of Law in 1987. Mr. Mason is a member of the Seattle-King County Bar Association, the Washington State Bar Association (Member of Real Property and Business Law Sections) and the American Bar Association (Member of Real Property, Probate and Trust and Business Law Sections). He is also an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. Parker is listed in Best Lawyers in America and Chambers USA and has been recognized annually as a Washington “Super Lawyer”.

Parker has been an active volunteer in the youth soccer community, having served as President of the Seattle Youth Soccer Association and in various capacities with Washington Youth Soccer and Seattle United, a local youth soccer club. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Seattle Country Day School and the Boards of Directors of the Phinney Neighborhood Association and New Discovery School.
